
United Cinemas Narellan was hailed as the Camden region’s entertainment capital at its official opening on Thursday night. Apart from Mayor Chris Patterson’s deft cutting of the ribbon, the highlight of the night was the cinemas complex owner Roy Mustaca, who has been a singer and entertainer, breaking into song. Complex manager Antonella Lentini said drinks and finger food, plus free film screenings, kept the guests in good humour throughout the evening. “It was a lot of fun. Roy Mustaca, owner of United Cinemas was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for his service to the community through support for health, service & multicultural organisations. Mr Mustaca, of Collaroy, was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his generosity. A renowned opera singer and owner of the Warriewood, Narellan, Collaroy and Avalon cinemas, Mr Mustaca has given generously over the years to a wide range of charitable and other organisations. "It’s certainly an honour and I’m very happy to have received it,’’ he said. "I love doing what I do, helping people and causes. My father and grandfather did it, so it’s a family thing to help people in need and worthy causes. "I was brought up with that and it’s something I enjoy.’’ Congratulations Roy!
